HolidayHhomes, where you can stay, date back to 1600 and have been recently refurbished, while respecting the architecture and taste of Tradition. The interior of the Holiday Homes has been carefully looked after with the taste and sensibility of the owner, starting with traditional furniture, wooden bunk beds, stone washbasins, hand-made blankets and unmistakable patchwork works by artist Elena Matteagi. Our Famhouses are located in Apecchio (PU), in the Apennines of Marche, border with Umbria and Tuscany. The high hill surrounding Mount Nerone, unspoilt and lush nature, the highland woods with sparkling and lively air, will leave you breathless. You will find a wild and romantic landscape at the same time, and you can listen to nature and enjoy privacy, all that we lost in the big cities. The location of Farmhouses is also a good starting point for visiting several art cities, such as Urbino (30Km), Perugia (70Km), Firenze (145Km), Gubbio (35Km) or to spend a day at sea, in fact Fano beach is only 65Km. The closest towns (5-15Km) are not of little cultural artistic significance:: Apecchio (4Km) with the medieval hamlet, Ubaldini palace, the Church of the S.S. Crucifix and the renowned craft breweries Urbania (20Km) with the interesting theater Bramante, the Ducal Palace, the Church of the Dead Piobbico (6Km) with the hundred rooms of Castello Brancaleoni For nature lovers, a specialized guide will take you through the wonderful hiking trails and caves of Monte Nerone, as an alternative you can choose between horseback riding (Serravalle di Carda3Km), lake fishing (Apecchio 4Km), truffle hunting. For enthusiasts of wildlife and nature wonders, do not miss the visit to the Furlo Natural Reserve (28Km), an authentic paradise crossed by the Candigliano River, nestling amidst the imposing rocky walls of the Gola, where the scenery of the landscape joins a prodigious natural resource that boasts spectacularly unique flora and fauna. Suffice it to think of the real eagle, the pilgrim falcon, the owl, the woodpecker, the mountain swallow, the big swallow, and the coral reef. And then there are wolves, roe deers, goats, wild boars.
